Zinc die casting release agents – Developed for the highest demands

In the time of Industry 4.0 and E-Mobility we’re also seeing a high demand for sophisticated electrical components and connectors, which will surely only gain in importance in the future.

The classical zinc die lubricant, which is usually oil-based and sometimes contains solvents, is often still the medium used. We have made it our aim to forge new paths with water-based products and to therefore take both the current technical challenges as well as the environmental aspect into account. I am happy to announce that we are now able to introduce a product that in many instances was already able to replace the “classical” products.

Oil-based die lubricants are still very common in zinc die casting. However, the last few years have seen an increased demand for VOC-free lubricants, also in zinc die casting.

In many cases, water-based products can replace conventional oil-based lubricants. With our newly developed TRENNEX ^® VM W 3579 Zn we are able to offer a product that due to its chemical formulation is able to replace oil-based lubricants in many cases.

TRENNEX ^® VM W 3579 Zn contains no waxes or Polysiloxanes and is suitable for technical pieces as well as finished decorative pieces. TRENNEX ^® VM W 3579 Zn can be delivered as a ready-to-use product or as a concentrate that can be individually diluted on-site. In individual cases, especially with very small and thin-walled castings, a change to a waterbased product is not immediately possible. Our application engineers will gladly assist you in this matter.
